been working for a while at my job now. and i must say, some of the conversations are downright weird. one of my colleagues, called an alumni arnd 8+pm on a monday and the guy was drunk, kept jabbering on the phone.
anyway, i met a singaporean at my work place. and thru him, another singaporean. so right now there's abt 3 other sg ppl whom i know here, other than my brother and i! yippee.
i was seriously planning to quit my job on sunday. i get yelled at by the alumni for doing my job and jeff, one of my supervisors who is also a student in uom, keeps pushing me for more talk time. i cant help it when they aren't interested to chat man. anyway i was thinking that im seriously not cut out for the job. it has been 3 days and i havent gotten a single pledge from the alumni. felt like a total failure.
thankfully paymaan, the head supervisor (also a student), was extremely helpful and took some time to help me out and gave me more tips on how to get it going. and on monday, i got 5 pledges ^^ which was more than what most of the others got so im really really happy. and very thankful to paymaan for not letting me quit.
anyway, here are a few of my dialogues that really makes me go wtf..
me: hi, may i please speak to Mr. A?
X: no, you may not. *hangs up*
me: i'm calling on behalf of the university of manitoba..
X: are you soliciting for money?
