bah! i hate history! ok no, actually i love it. i just hate studying for it! ok anyway was reading up on Romeo and Juliet just now, to get away from all the ColdWar tensions =/ and i just realised that in the play, 5 ppl died in 5 days.
it's the perfect love story because they never got to last long enough in love to stop loving each other. it's the love story every girl at the age of 14 ( that's Juliet's age) wants to have, except the dying part: the forbidden love, the thrill of the first kiss... the first time, marriage, ever lasting promises and then...
the 'then' never came because they die, she never got to realise she wasn't in love with him but she only thought so because he was 'the forbidden fruit' and neither did he! actually, i think he's more of a player.
They never got to realise they had NOTHING in common apart from the forbidded part. they never found out if they were going to be happy ever after or just have the simple, boring life that was truly there for them if they had lived!
Romeo & Juliet is probably Shakespeare's way of laughing at how stupid women at that time were that they thought this was romantic!
now, THAT'S a tragedy...
ok now on to random stuff:
